Links seeks to promote the exchange of information, experience
of struggle, theoretical analysis and views of political
strategy and tactics within the international left. It is a
forum for open and constructive dialogue between active
socialists from different political traditions. It seeks to
bring together those in the international left who are opposed
to neoliberal economic and social policies, and reject the
bureaucratic model of `socialism' that arose in the Soviet Union
and Eastern Europe. Inspired by the unfolding socialist
revolution in Venezuela, Links is a journal for `Socialism of
the 21st Century' and the discussions and debates flowing from
that powerful example of socialist renewal. Please explore Links

FAIR, the
national media watch group, has been offering well-documented
criticism of media bias and censorship since 1986. We work to
invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater
diversity in the press and by scrutinizing media practices that
marginalize public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints.
As an anti-censorship organization, we expose neglected news
stories and defend working journalists when they are muzzled. As
a progressive group, FAIR believes that structural reform is
ultimately needed to break up the dominant media conglomerates,
establish independent public broadcasting and promote strong
non-profit sources of information.
Uniquely,
FAIR works with both activists and journalists. We maintain a
regular dialogue with reporters at news outlets across the
country, providing constructive critiques when called for and
applauding exceptional, hard-hitting journalism. We also
encourage the public to contact media with their concerns, to
become media activists rather than passive consumers of news.

War, poverty, exploitation and oppression are products of the
capitalist system, a system in which a minority ruling class
profits from the labor of the majority. The alternative is
socialism, a society based on workers collectively owning and
controlling the wealth their labor creates.

Haitianalysis is an editorially independent internet publication
and is produced by individuals dedicated to disseminating news
and analysis on Haiti and its people's unending struggle for
democracy. It was launched January 14, 2007 in the memory of the
young Haitian journalist
Abdias Jean on the second anniversary of his murder.
Haitianalysis aims to provide young Haitian journalists a direct
route to English speaking audiences, bypassing the need for
corporate intermediaries. To accomplish this we plan to provide
monetary, technological, and human/translation resources to
young inspired Haitian journalists from poor backgrounds. We
also aim to provide a positive perspective on grassroots civil
society and look at the underreported news and events in Haiti
and that affect Haiti.

www.axisoflogic.com is comprised of an all-volunteer group of
writers and editors who are committed to publishing news and
commentary that is often not presented in the major news
outlets. We research news and opinion from around the world on a
daily basis. We also announce action alerts, conferences and
seminars. The editorial choices we make have no hidden agenda
and are not attached to any particular ideology or political
organization. We also believe there is no substitute for real,
progressive action as all of us continue what has already become
a perilous journey into the interior of 21st Century. We are
grateful for the many wonderful organizations and coalitions
active in the Peace Movement today and wish to do all we can to
support their efforts and to promote unity, harmony and
collective power among them.
